Helga and Hermann met as fashion design students under the esteemed Helmut Lang at the University of Applied Arts. In 1997, when they were still students, they embarked on a creative journey, launching their collaborative collections under the name “Wendy & Jim.”

In 1999, they participated in the Festival de la Mode in Hyères, which led to the founding of their company.

In the fall of the same year, they showcased their first prêt-à-porter collection in Paris. From the outset, their work has boldly explored the intersections of fashion, art, and performance.

In 2000, they were the first to present a fashion show in the format of a still performance, redefining the boundaries of the fashion presentation.
